Schlage® can solve this problem with the new Everest patented small format interchangeable core (SFIC). Everest keyways and key blanks are protected by a utility patent. Restricted blanks, cut keys and cores are furnished only through authorized Schlage distributors, with a letter of authorization from the end-user. Restricted items are drop shipped directly to the end-user or designated location, preventing locksmiths and distributors from having access to keys and cores without the end-user’s permission. In addition, Schlage Authorized Service Centers have an exclusive keyway that is controlled by them.

Patent Protected. Key control is important for the integrity of your building’s security. The utility patent protects against unauthorized key duplication. This means it is a violation of federal patent law for anyone but Schlage to manufacture these key blanks into the year 2015.

Master Keying Capacity. The 7 pins provide 16,383 theoretical change keys per keyway.
