Electronic Locks Electronic locks are an exciting segment of our industry! The features available and ways to use them to help you increase your security are truly amazing!
One feature that many of our customers really use is the ability to quickly limit who has access. An example would be to imagine it is late on a Friday and you find suddenly need to restrict a certain person or group of people from gaining access. With mechanical locks this would be difficult to do since the people who are still authorized to enter may have left for the weekend and getting keys to them is impossible. With an electronic lock you can simply enter the correct commands and presto! Your business is secure and all authorized personnel still have access. Another feature is time windows that allow access only during certain hours. This can be effective if you need to grant access to a person or group of people to an area during the day but after closing you don't want them to be able to regain entry. Another great feature is the ability to track who gains access and when. Say for instance that something turns up missing and you know approximately when it occurred. By simply downloading the audit trail you can see who accessed the area in question. The possibilities are endless and only limited to your imagination. |
